Saturday, March 14, 2020 Snow Bunting, White-winged Crossbills and Dipper

Seward, Alaska

I only found one bird on a recent windy day at the head of the bay, but it was a beauty!

The lone(some) SNOW BUNTING flitted in front of me, alternately gleaning beach rye grass seeds from the snow and tidbits or maybe gravel from the beach. The yellow-gold bill identified it as still in winter plumage, but I am not sure of the gender or age. Any thoughts are appreciated!

Happy Birding!
