I received a report while I
was away checking out the Eurasian Skylark, that two adult BALD EAGLES were feeding on a cygnet, probably
TRUMPETER SWAN, on thin ice at the Mile 1 Nash Road wetland pond on
Sunday. Two adult swans and two other cygnets fed calmly in an open area about
30 yards away. All that was left is a big pile of feathers.
That must have been quite the
struggle!
Happy Birding!
