Seward, Alaska
First bird this morning around 9 am: RAVEN calling. Normal, check.
Second bird, and the reason for the Raven's alert: a CACKLING GOOSE! flying silently down the street in front of my house! It flew straight for another block and then veered east and out of sight towards the bay, 7 blocks away. I didn't have any optics, but it sure looked like the one I saw on September 30th.
I'll be watching for this lost goose; it's not only unusual to have one here now, but in town?
Happy Birding!
